Game 9. NY Blues vs. West Hill

It was a hot sunny Saturday afternoon and the Blues battled for a 5-5 tie with West Hill. Jordan had 3 RBI's to lead the way offensively and it took a solid team effort to hold on and get 1 point from this game.

Game 7. NY vs. North Toronto

This was a makeup game played on July 27th and was played at Bond Park. The Blues had one bad inning giving up 5 runs and made several defensive errors which resulted in the second loss of the regular season. A strong pitching performance from Brian and Sam kept us in the game to begin with but it was just one of those days...

Game 3. NY Blues vs. East York

In suffering our first loss we have learned many things. The benefit of positive attitudes.  The cost of untimely and preventable errors and the need to remain humble when seemingly above other teams.  Our team still continues to grow stronger and demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout.

Game 2. East Toronto vs. NY Blues

Another excellent outing as a team!  Our defense was impeccable and fundamentally sound! Our bats still need a little work which will be our focus this week! Watch the training video and keep practicing! Another job well done Blues! Be proud of yourselves!

Game 1.  NY Blues vs. East Toronto

Our first game was an excellent team effort and a nice reward for all the hard work everyone put in during our pre-season practices.  Some key weak points were highlighted and will be worked on during our upcoming practices but,  solid effort all around!  Great job Blues!

Game 8. NY Blues vs. Leaside

The Blues came out with an outstanding effort with each player getting at least one hit and a no hit pitching performance from Kevin and Patrick. Baserunning was a key weakness but strong pitching, hitting and defence led the Blues to this shutout victory.

Game 6. East York vs. NY

In the battle for first place, the Blues came out focused and determined to show that they're the real deal. Our pitchers led the way via a 3 inning 1 hit performance by Seungmin and effective work by Jordan and Sam closing out the game.

Game 5. North Toronto vs. NY Blues

The Blues won their 2nd of 2 games this weekend, this time showing significant improvement in their effort and focus. Solid overall team effort!

West Hill Tournament July 19-21

This was a fun weekend of baseball that required the boys to play a tough 3 game schedule on the Saturday due to the rainout on Friday.

The Blues were victorious over Oshawa (21-2) and lost to West Hill (10-4) and Cambridge (12-4). The boys fought valiantly though and had a ton of fun. Thanks to all who came out and supported North York.

Game 10. Birchmount vs. NY Blues

The Blues swept the double header versus Birchmount, winning 10-0 and 10-4. Highlights included a 12 strikeout performance from Kevin and a bases loaded double from PDR. The Blues clinched first place with these wins and are now gearing up for the playoffs!

Game 4. Leaside vs. NY Blues

The Blues were victorious in this Saturday afternoon game thanks to a strong pitching effort from Brian (4 strikeouts, 1 earned run) and solid catching by Jason. PDR closed the game in relief without giving up a run. A bit of rust and lack of focus led to 5 errors but thankfully the offense came through in the end and the Blues came away with another win.
